Meatpacking District to Hudson Yards Walk

Our tour will begin in the historic Meatpacking District. The area takes its name from the over one hundred meatpacking plants that used to inhabit it.   Today it is a trendy upscale neighborhood, filled with fashion, restaurants and luxury living.  Our visit on the High Line tells the story of how an elevated train transferred food from docks along the Hudson River to factories and warehouses. Today it is a unique public park. From the High Line, the group will continue on to Hudson Yards. Built entirely on a platform above an active railyard, this multi-billion dollar engineering site is a partnership including some of the greatest architects, developers and business people in the World.  It is a combination of commercial real estate, shopping, restaurants and luxury condos.
